Welcome to Louise’s Helping Hands
Based in Sydney, I’m a former nurse, qualified counsellor, mum, and ex-pat who understands first-hand how joyful—but also overwhelming—early parenthood can be.
When I had my first baby, my parents came from Ireland for a month and helped with just about everything my husband and I didn’t even know we needed. Their support was invaluable. But between my first and second son's birth, my father passed away, and my mum’s health meant she couldn’t travel to help us.
This time, we had to manage without the family support we had relied on before. Our friends stepped in as much as they could and we would have been lost without them. However, these experiences showed me just how vital it is to have support in the early days of parenthood.
That’s why I created Louise’s Helping Hands—to offer the same warmth, care, and practical help to parents who need it, whether they’re far from home, recovering from birth, or simply exhausted.
💛 Compassionate care from someone who understands.
At Louise’s Helping Hands, we acknowledge the Dharawal and Gadigal Peoples, Traditional Custodians of the Sutherland Shire and Greater Sydney.

Always was, always will be.
